Originally from Salem, Oregon, Dr. Ryan Hadden joined the Hand Center at Olympia Orthopaedic Associates in the fall of 2023.  He completed his undergraduate studies at Oregon State University where he played football as a walk-on wide receiver and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for medical school where he received the McGraw-Hill/Lange Medical Student Excellence Award for high scholastic achievement.  Dr. Hadden graduated magna cum laude with election to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. He then returned to Oregon to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency at Oregon Health & Science University.  He concluded his training with a fellowship year under the tutelage of Drs. Peter Weiss and Ed Akelman training in Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microvascular Surgery at Brown University.

Dr. Hadden is a designated medical provider with USA Wrestling, providing on-the-mat care for high level athletes in both domestic and international competition. He most recently joined Team USA in Istanbul, Turkey for the 2023 United World Wrestling U17 World Championships. In his spare time, Dr. Hadden works as a medical illustrator and has contributed several novel works to articles and medical review books. He is very excited to be back in the Pacific Northwest with his family that includes his wife and four wonderful children.  He enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, exercising and competitive sports.
