Billing & Insurance

Billing Information

The professional fees in our office are carefully examined and are customary for orthopaedic surgeons in our area. We make every attempt to keep your overall medical expenses to a minimum. It is expected that copays for office visits and X-rays will be paid at the time your service is rendered. This gives you a clear understanding of your bill and an opportunity to discuss any problems.

If you are having difficulty with your account, please do not hesitate to call or request a meeting with our billing department where a confidential discussion may help resolve your problem. For your convenience, payments for your office visits may be made by check or credit card. Please note, we are no longer accepting cash payments.

Additional Information

You will be asked to talk with our Financial Advocate Department prior to your surgical procedure to make certain that we have appropriate insurance information for your account. The Financial Advocate Department will provide you with an estimated out of pocket expense. Please note your patient out-of-pocket expense is due at the time of service.

Olympia Orthopaedic Associates does not bill 3rd party claims. In instances where there is an accident-related injury that may require legal action, we hold the person who has received our services responsible for the bill payment, regardless of any pending legal action.

For work-related injuries, we will need written authorization from your insurance carrier. If you have any questions regarding work-related conditions, please contact our office at 360.491.8439.

Olympia Orthopaedic Associates is a Medicare provider and accepts assignment for Medicare patients.

Please note, deductibles and co-payments are due at the time of your appointment. If you have any questions regarding insurance coverage or payment and billing, please contact an Olympia Orthopaedic Associates representative at 360.491.8439.

No-Show/Late Cancellation Policy

We understand that you may need to cancel an appointment occasionally. In such circumstances, please contact us no later than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time. You may do so by calling 360-570-3460 or using the patient portal.

If you do not show up for your appointment, cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment time, we will consider that a no-show. No-show appointments may be subject to a $50 fee. No-show fees are the patient’s sole responsibility and must be paid in full before your next appointment. If the no-show fee might prevent you from receiving necessary care, please contact us.

We know that unexpected situations sometimes arise. In the case of emergencies or extenuating circumstances, we may waive the no-show fee. Waivers are determined on a case-by-case basis at the practice management’s sole discretion.

If you have any questions regarding billing and insurance payments, please contact an Olympia Orthopaedic Associates representative at 360.491.8439
