Growing up in Indiana, Dr. Christine Hammer graduated from the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then attended the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and later attended Thomas Jefferson University, College of Population Health, in Philadelphia, studying public health with a focus in Health Policy, earning a Graduate Certificate. Dr. Hammer completed her Neurosurgery Residency at Thomas Jefferson University hospitals before finishing her orthopedic and neurosurgery combined Spine Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

Prior to joining Oly Ortho in 2023, Dr. Hammer worked as a Neurosurgeon at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Tacoma since 2019. She is published in numerous studies, blogs, and journals with a focus on spine pathology of the neck and back.

Outside of work, Dr. Hammer still tries to find time for fitness with Barre and Spin as a focus. She enjoys spending time with family and reading, hiking, biking, and working with fabrics including quilting and clothing design.
