About Dr. Harvey

Dr. Harvey began his journey in medicine at only 11 years old when his father died of esophageal cancer. Driven by his singular goal to improve the lives of others, Dr. Harvey attended the University of Notre Dame and obtained his BS in chemical engineering. He then moved to Houston, Texas, to work at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center. From there, he went on to attend the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where he found his niche in Orthopedics. After obtaining his medical degree, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, followed by a fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction and Trauma at the University of Minnesota Regions Hospital Program under the tutelage of Dr. Scott Marston.

He and his wife have now happily moved to the Pacific Northwest, where her family is from, and where they can enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer. When not in the office, Dr. Harvey enjoys hiking with his wife and two dogs and challenging himself with Ironman and half Ironman triathlons, which keep him healthy and active.

In practice, Dr. Harvey’s focus is on adult reconstruction of the hip and knee. He provides relief to patients with debilitating pain by performing hip and knee replacement surgeries. With expert training, he practices the muscle-sparing direct anterior approach to the hip, which aids in recovery and motion, as well as complex reconstructive techniques to tackle difficult cases.
