Raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Doug Hunter brings a strong background in interventional pain medicine to Olympia Orthopaedic Associates. He specializes in minimally invasive pain relief techniques and neuromodulation, offering patients advanced options to manage and reduce chronic pain.
Dr. Hunter earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah before completing medical school at the University of Nevada, Reno. He went on to an internship at Penn State and residency at Albany Medical College, followed by fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine at UC Davis.
He is an active member of professional associations including the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (AAPMR), the North American Spine Society (NASS), and the International Pain and Spine Intervention Society (IPSIS). Dr. Hunter is also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hunter enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and climbing—pursuits that keep him connected to the active lifestyle he encourages for his patients.
