Physician Assistant to R. Trent McKay, M.D.
Derek joined Olympia Orthopaedic Associates in January of 2015 and works with Dr. Trent McKay at the Eastside location. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wyoming followed by a Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Arizona. He has been working as a Physician Assistant in the orthopaedic surgery field since 2007.
Derek was born and raised in Wyoming but moved to Washington in 2015 and has loved exploring the state. He enjoys climbing mountains, playing tennis, riding his mountain bike, skiing, listening to podcasts during his commute to work, and going on adventures with his kids.
