Olympia Orthopaedic Associates provides patients with a unique orthopaedic urgent care experience known as Rapid Orthopaedic Care (ROC) Urgent Clinic. The orthopedic specialists at our ROC facility in West Olympia can quickly diagnose and treat almost all orthopedic or sports injuries.

Many patients prefer our Rapid Orthopaedic Care over traditional urgent care for the following reasons:

#1: Orthopaedic Specialists Staff at ROC

Our facilities are staffed by Orthopaedic Specialists and Orthopaedic Physician Assistants who have completed rigorous training and have many years of experience treating orthopedic and sports injuries.

At traditional urgent care facilities, patients usually see a Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Emergency Room Specialists or Physician Assistants. While general urgent cares are great for colds, flus, rashes and infections the specialists in a traditional urgent care do not specialize in orthopedics.

#2: Treatment is Immediate

After one of our specialists diagnoses an injury, they prescribe a customized treatment plan. Treatment plans usually consist of nonsurgical treatment options like immobilization, activity modification, physical therapy, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and more.

If follow up care is needed, the specialists at Olympia Orthopaedic Associates will already have your medical history, X-rays, and diagnosis when you arrive for a follow-up appointment.

In many cases, patients who go to general urgent care centers are not sure where they should go for follow up care and have to call multiple offices to try to get an appointment. Also, they may need to undergo repeat tests, such as X-rays, which can become both frustrating and expensive.

#3: Follow Up is Easy

Following up at ROC is very easy. Patients have the following options regarding their follow up appointment(s):

They can return to ROC and have their follow up appointment with the specialist who diagnosed and treated their injury.
They can be seen by the Orthopedic, Spine or Sports Medicine specialist at Olympia Orthopaedic Associates if follow up care is needed.

The choice regarding following up appointments is left entirely up to the patient. Patients love this because they can follow up at a time that easily fits into their busy schedule.
