The O-arm® Imaging System is an intraoperative imaging system that provides real-time imaging during surgery, and it is designed for both 2-D fluoroscopic and 3-D imaging. The system is a mobile X-ray system that can take images of patient anatomy in a full 360 degrees to allow for 3-D reconstruction of the anatomic structures and bony anatomy.
Why choose O-arm® spine surgery?
The StealthStation® S7® Navigation System is a surgical navigation system, also known as a computer-assisted surgery system or an image-guided surgery system. During spine surgery, the system performs three primary functions:
- Creation of a 3-D map of the patient’s anatomy from imaging data
- Continuous tracking of both the patient’s anatomy and the surgical instruments
- Creation of a coordinate system correlating the location of the anatomy and the instruments, giving immediate, precise feedback on the location and trajectory of instruments relative of the anatomy
Using these systems together provides a seamless procedural workflow for the surgeon and staff through an automatic registration of the O-arm® Imaging System images upon their transfer to the software on the StealthStation® S7® Navigation System. This automatic registration allows for immediate navigation to start the case.
