Telehealth Appointment Tips
Check Your Tech: Be connected to your home WiFi network. Sitting close to your router will allow for the strongest signal. Position your phone so your provider can clearly see you on the screen, place it on a stand if possible.
Set the Stage: Minimize distractions. Make sure you are somewhere quiet so you and your provider can hear each other. Keep pets and children out of the room if possible. Sit somewhere comfortable so you are relaxed.
Have an Assistant Available: Designate someone to help hold your phone and take notes. A second set of hands can be helpful to position the phone during the exam portion of the visit. Prepare a list of questions ahead of time so you don’t forget anything.
Attire: Dress as you would for a visit to the clinic.
Examples: Wear shorts for a knee exam or tank top for a shoulder exam
